[Saiyuki] Literature Interpretation (TenKen)

Notes: Inspired by more art of the awesomest-85-art-ever variety. It really won't make much sense without the picture, though you might get the basic idea.

The books of war speak of this sometimes: Men of war have passions, have tempers, and blood is as much life as death. Tenpou thinks this a rather circuitous way of saying They want to fuck after they get back, but he has never written anything more than reports and orders for battle, so perhaps there is a different tradition in literature.
Glorifying Kenren would be no difficulty, despite his reputation, but Tenpou's desk-of-books is becoming rather smeared with blood (to say nothing of the books on the floor that Kenren walked over earlier to molest him), and he finds this distressing. Bloodstains don't come out of parchment easily at all.
