[Bleach] two Kuchiki/Abarai snippets

Pairing: Kuchiki Byakuya/Abarai Renji (very, very implied)
Disclaimer: These characters belong to Kubo Tite, not to me. Also, I momentarily channel Saiyuki, because Renji and Gojyo are such half-brothers. Obviously Gojyo's dad had a few other mistresses.
Summary: It is mere base lust.
These is of course something to be said for the comfort of a warm bed at night, and Byakuya will not deny the fact. There is, too, something to be said for the pleasure of losing oneself in another, in the rhythm of skin on skin and the ache of the action; Byakuya can hardly deny that fact, either.
This does not mean he is required to indulge. Indeed, it is even discouraged; he is noble, and swore once to behave as his rank in Seireitei demanded. That the oath was rendered void does not mean it does not affect him still, and to succumb to base lust would do no honour to his family. He dares not, cannot, will not do it.
He is not entirely certain that he wishes to, after all. For what is the flash of red desire but an expression of blood, an expression of the ruin that will come to Seireitei if he does not remain to hold fast to the pillars of society?

Who's he kidding, really? Certainly not himself. Certainly not thinking that Kuchiki-taichou of the snobby attitude and the airs and the intolerable rudeness is really named Byakuya, once you take off the captain's robe over the black haori common to all Shinigami. That Byakuya is still rude and snobby but he's kind of funny, if you don't mind that he's laughing at you. And he's a little attractive -
Well, maybe a lot. Maybe enough that Renji thinks about him sometimes, when it's very dark out and he's very alone, or when Kuchiki-taichou is all wrapped up in paperwork. Sometimes Renji thinks about Byakuya, the low richness of his voice, and then Renji will laugh because that's hella stupid. Get over one Kuchiki and head over heels wanting the other. Stupid, stupid.
He thinks sometimes that he catches Byakuya - not his taichou; Byakuya, the man - looking at him with more than just coolly detached scorn in his expression, but Renji's been known to misinterpret that sort of thing before, so he doesn't want to say anything. Besides, he hasn't beaten Kuchiki-taichou in combat yet, and he wants to do that before he does anything as stupid as what he wants to do every time he looks up and catches Byakuya looking at him.
