[Bleach] collection post of AU

Since the AU is not cohesive and not real coherent, I figured I would make a post collecting all the AU bits into one giant index post, then Memory it. Gali, I'm including your stuff and linking to it on your blog.



All right. The Bleach AU on which Gali (yuusei_enigma) and I are working is the Dreaded High School AU of Doom, in which every character in Bleach is in an American high school in some capacity.

However, the focus of said AU is on a few core characters who are members of a small, performance-geared jazz ensemble created by the band director (Mr. Yamamoto). The members, as currently established but subject to change, are:
Renji Abarai on clarinet and saxophone
Ikkaku Madarame on flute (for emergencies or odd arrangements)
Yumichika Ayasegawa on lead trumpet
Tetsuzaemon Iba on trombone
Kenpachi Zaraki on drums
Yachiru Kusajishi (Kenpachi's genius half-sister) on guitar
Byakuya Kuchiki on upright bass and bass guitar
Shuuhei Hisagi on tuba (for Dixieland charts, in lieu of a bassist)

Their roadies, so to speak, are certain members of drama crew, those members being Jyuushirou Ukitake (when he's not home, sick) and Shunsui Kyouraku.

Other characters mentioned:
Soi Fong, a string bassist in orchestra
Gin Ichimaru, an oboe player
Sousuke Aizen, a now-graduated French horn player
Mr. Yamamoto, the band director

This AU contains numerous ships, not the least of which being:

and features Shuuhei as Renji's unfortunate straight best friend and alcohol-free-drinking buddy.
