challenge request?
Jun. 25th, 2005 01:27 pmThis is a challenge gacked from
tea_and_snark.
Basically, what you do is give me one or two characters (specify if you want romantic relationship or no if you give me two) from any of the "fandoms" listed below. Then three words to include. Then an object.
And I'll write you a fic with those three things.
The worlds you can request CHARS from:
Kiy/AFTD (And From the Darkness)
VDD/VDD Offshoots
Iron Mage
Shadowstorm
And the Music
And if you're
figletofvenice, then you can ask for The Great Escape.
(and if you really, truly want a fic and have your heart set on a fandom you know I know, then you can request it. Except Good Omens or other Neil Gaiman works (excluding Sandman), for which I do not write fanfiction, not even with thirty-nine-and-a-half pseudonyms)

Date: 2005-06-28 04:28 pm (UTC)I know that you don't car for Iron Mage much anymore but that brings a smile to my face. I am trying to figure out why one would hug Mjolnir though. Sounds a bit uncomfortable. ;-)

Date: 2005-06-28 06:08 pm (UTC)I don't like FeMage because the writing, the actual, physical writing, stank. The characters were fine - not good, but passable - and when I read it now, it feels staged and unnatural, nothing at all like how real people interact.

Date: 2005-06-28 06:06 pm (UTC)I thought that it was well-plotted and actually interesting. And while I agree with you about the 'why Gotham?' aspect of the League of Shadows' (see, when I hear League Of anything, I think of LXG) plot, I think that most everything made sense. Also, it wasn't quite so dispiritedly formulaic as I'm used to comic movies being. AND IT ACTUALLY MADE SENSE. Sort of.
I had to laugh at the katanas, though.
