[Bleach] It's Like (Kyouraku/Ukitake)
Mar. 12th, 2006 09:44 pmTitle: It's Like
Rating: PG-13 for some rather offensive projected opinions
Fandom: Bleach
Characters: Kyouraku/Ukitake, malcontents
Disclaimer: Kubo Tite's, except for the misogynistic comments and the homophobic remarks, which I am glad to say I did not invent, but which to my shame I have adapted for this piece.
Warnings: Who Shunsui and Jyuushirou are, I guess. Also, this is not for the easily irked; there's some offensive stuff in here.
Summary: There are things people say about Ukitake Jyuushirou and Kyouraku Shunsui.
There are some in Seireitei who say that of course Kyouraku is fond of the thirteenth division captain. After all, Kyouraku likes women (and wine) rather too much, doesn't he? Treats them all like they're special, and Ukitake's hardly any different - can bleed for a week and not die, after all, and with such long hair, fine as a woman's, and smaller than Kyouraku...
Ukitake is kind to everyone, modest, and too weak to make sure command is carried out properly, caring too much for the emotions of those under him (for Shiba Kaien would not have died had Ukitate intervened and exercised control as he should have, caring more about his position than Kaien's emotions). He is patient, not aggressive, and too demure to earn respect. He is weak, womanly.
It's like Kyouraku has a wife, and one who has his balls in the palm of her hand, too.
Whenever things like this are mentioned, there is some lewd laughter, always, but it is nervous too, for if Ukitake Jyuushirou had been a woman, he would not have gone so far in Seireitei, would not be a captain of the Gotei 13. There is always a danger in saying such things about captains, for there are sympathetic ears everywhere, but it is hardly as though it is not true -
Kyouraku does not work, when Ukitake takes sick (nor when he is healthy, either, but this they forget to mention).
Really, Kyouraku and Ukitake should have served beneath one another (and this always brings chuckles or outright guffaws for the innuendo of it) and opened up a captaincy not now left to a married couple, because really, it's as though Eighth and Thirteenth divisions have become one and the same. What wimps.

Date: 2006-03-16 05:14 am (UTC)I like to. Sorta. Except the way Shunsui hits on Nanao must exasperate Jyuushirou to no imaginable end. =)
(every time I write Nanao's name I want to add -chan and tildes on the end, à la "Nanao-chan~~~~! ♥♥")
