[Bleach] Kept (53, R)
Jun. 15th, 2006 12:47 pmThis was a really difficult piece to write, I have to say. >.< I'm still not completely happy with it.
Title: Kept
Rating: R
Fandom: Bleach (Belach, yes.)
Pairing: Aizen Sousuke/Ichimaru Gin
Disclaimer: Aizen + Gin =/= mine.
Notes: Inspired by this NWS image at this site. ETA: The art site has since been taken down. I am respecting the artist's wishes and will not be redistributing the pictures.
Summary: Sousuke's past shouldn't matter but it does.
Notes part 2: Part of what inspired this piece was learning (and probably misinterpreting) that in traditional Japan, kissing was something prostitutes did (I guess they learned it from the Western sailors, since I've heard that kissing is Western, not Eastern), and respectable people didn't unless they were with prostitutes.

He learnt it -
Gin knows he shouldn't be thinking this. Not now, not with his back pressed heavy into the bed and Sousuke above him in a curve of skin and sweat and muscle. It shouldn't matter, what they bring into this bed; anything not themselves should be left behind, shed with their clothes.
It shouldn't matter but it does. He feels Sousuke's hands on his shoulders, tangling in his hair, and he wonders if any of Sousuke's reactions to him are honest, or if they are all calculated, as they would have been all those years ago with all those others. And of course he feels that he should leave it be, but to leave that thought - that Sousuke sees nothing but another trick - lying in the bed between them seems, somehow, an insult.
Maybe it is. Maybe the way Sousuke kisses, slow and deep, is meant to remind him every time of where Sousuke came from, that Gin was never the first. He thinks it's probably that, because the alternative - that Sousuke wants to give something of himself, wants to use what he learned all those years ago for Gin - is impossible, too kind to be true.
And Sousuke, bent over him, touch too gentle against Gin's bare skin, is smiling too much to believe it is anything but a reminder, to believe that he doesn't know that despite all intentions, Gin has brought more than sex to this bed.
