[Bleach] Vision in Black (6/6b, 9b, AU)

Characters: Abarai Renji+Kuchiki Byakuya, Hisagi Shuuhei

So Yamamoto, the music director, has decided to establish a little jazz ensemble, and Renji is in because - well, who knows what goes through Yamamoto's head. But he is, playing saxophone and clarinet, and Shuuhei'll be the tuba if they ever decide to do Dixieland.
Which of course begs the question of who's the bassist? And that's a bad question to ask, because Renji was expecting maybe, like, Soi Fong, who is a vindictive bitch but a good musician.
Instead there's this guy who shows up lugging a string bass into the class, the epitome of tall-dark-handsome except he's so pale he makes ash look like it caught the summer in Aruba.
Shuuhei just looks at Renji and says, "Close your mouth and find a napkin for your drool." He rolls his eyes and adds, not too unkindly, "Fag."
"Who the fuck is that?" Renji manages to spit out as the guy kneels on the floor and takes the bass out of the case and jesushallowedchrist he has a nice ass.
"That, my friend," Shuuhei says, setting a hand on Renji's shoulder, "is Byakuya Kuchiki, resident string virtuoso, salutatorian of the senior class, and all-around utter bastard."

One of the things I don't know if we agreed upon or not was that Jyuushirou (of course) was sick a lot, so he often missed school - whether or not he was good about making that work up, we're not sure, but... I like the idea of Jyuushirou as valedictorian. It pleases the Ukitake fangirl in me. XD
