Excerpts from Editorials
A small peek into Sandy's head

Sandy gets put on indefinite suspension from the hockey team after breaking four of the other guy's ribs and knocking out a couple of teeth. His parents don't know what to do with him, other than pay the bills and send him to counseling, as usual.

Counseling, Sandy can tell them, doesn't help, but that doesn't seem to matter. Talking about why he gets angry hasn't been helping to keep it from happening again.

And okay, maybe some of it is the fact that his standards are so high that sexual frustration is the word of the lifetime; maybe some of it is the fact that he's never met anybody who could kick his ass in a brawl; maybe some of it is stress-venting. Who knows. All it means is a lot of headaches for the shrink.

It's as if, some have quipped, Sandy was born on PMS. Sandy has laughed at the joke before. It's usually RJ who says it, so it's okay, because RJ doesn't mean it like an insult.

Roger's never said it, and Sandy is how grateful for that? Enough that it makes his skin burn, enough that his palms itch to reach out and -

This is about the point at which something happens to piss him off - either his alarm clock goes off, or some stupid preppy girl giggles, or some boy says something Darwinistically stupid, and some of the gears in his head get their teeth out of line and he's suddenly unreasoningly angry, shoving them into walls or hitting them or saying something biting and heartless.

He knows he has a reputation as a complete bastard who will kill a guy so much as look at him. He also knows that his being gay is a wide-open secret, and that some people believe he's Roger's muscle, his Mafioso enforcer. Whatever. They can think what they want.

They can think what they want until they realize it's Roger who stops him from hurting people worse than he does.

XD bruises for an AU. In which Sandy gets asked lots of questions about why it looks like someone FINALLY beat him in a fight and he says, "What?" and the general reaction is, "Look at your back!"
Sandy: Oh. Hadn't noticed. ::puts shirt back on::
Everyone: WHAT IS THAT?
Sandy: What do you think?
Everyone: Who were you fighting with?
Sandy: No one.
Everyone: ::collective gasp::
Sandy: I got laid. ::glares, daring universe to ask who::
idiot in the back: Who?
Sandy: ::beats him::
RJ, after gym: Who?
Sandy: ...
::Roger meets them in the hall on way to German::
Roger: I think this is your shirt. ::hands it over to Sandy:: You left it at my place.
RJ: WHY AM I THE ONLY STRAIGHT ONE???? ::cries::

(Yeah, I'm mean.)

AHAHAHAHAHA. The whole excahnge killed me. I mean, that would be awesome. (But could only happen if they weren't killed off right after prom, I think. Unless they were banging before prom, and no one knew until prom. Or something. But I like the banging the locker room better, I think.)

But refreshingly honest.

Exactly. It would be an AU of the AU. XD No, I think we should still kill them on Prom night as they're driving home because Sandy was giving Roger a hand job in the car. Because a drunk driver hit them.

I have no problem at all with this. I also don't have a problem writing a little this way, if you ever want to RP ever, and can't get on AIM

Also, I don't know if they're ever going to get to this, but I wanted to put it out there. Even if they die before this point. But I think that Sandy would be the mouthiest, pushiest bottom imaginable. It makes me laugh just thinking about it.

Sounds good to me, if we ever get that far (if you want to even get that far or instead leave it from other people's point of view, as in, Bobby leaves the dance and sees the cleanup on his way home but the car's so totaled that he doesn't even realise it's Roger's...).

We can do the epic when we're done with the AU of Black Hole-ish Death.
You do realize that we're practically defining the tGE fandom, right? In years to come (if we finish this), everyone will be copying us when they do AUs. I'm not sure teen!Mac will always be senselessly violent, but...

Hee. Wait, wait, someone on my flist (who I don't really talk to, I just read her fic) made a poll, and one of the questions was whether or not to slash tge! I just about... uh, died. I was like, we've got a fandom going here! Sorta. All two of us. ::laughs::

Yeah, we have all the notes from the epic, and even a few paragraphs, I think I have saved. We could totally come back to it later.

Plus, I love that we're defining a fandom. Not that anyone reads it, yet. But they will, they will. ::laughs:: We are cool. Hee.

Can't you just see it? I mean:
Roger: Would you hold still?
Sandy: And would you just get on with it? I mean, I've been waiting for this for years, okay? NO convinient girl to bang over here. Even if I'd wanted to. ::shudders::

I also think he should have a soft spot for marmalade. Yes, I know that was (slightly) random (not really - I'm fairly certani that's what he gives up to Hendley in the movie, and I detect a strong note of regret when he hands it over).

Oh, good. I love how I can just randomly refer to things and you get them. When I try to do that with other people they just stare blankly at me. >.< (especially this one Harry Potter fandom drabble where the humour hinged on knowing the context of the tGE quote...)

How would you want to use this in the AU?
I have no idea yet. But I think Sandy should be bribable with various kinds of....er.... jelly...um... forget I said that....

This made me giggle. A funny idea, although, seeing as we've made Sandy really twisted and bitter, I doubt it would work quite that way.

Well, no. It would have to be Roger bribing him, because then it's more the Roger factor than the jelly factor. And some later date in the story, Eric or Louis tries the same thing, and Sandy turns him down flat. =)

On tangent - is Roger in denial during the fic, or does he just gradually come to the realisation that he's at least bi? I would generally think the latter, given that he's friends with Sandy, who's pretty out (although from his general misanthropy, you wouldn't know he was a sexual being at all!), but if you can think of some dark, lingering psychological reason for him to be in denial, go for it. XD
